Artist Statement
I
create work using text as image to investigate visual interpretations
of language. Influenced by Minimalism and Conceptualism, my work reveals
differences between reading and looking, and writing and speaking. This
combination produces a stammer or stutter where hesitancy, vulnerability
and strength come together. My current work uses Gertrude Stein’s
writing as a point of departure.
